10. Chickpeas

This one might be cheating a bit, as we find the Chickpeas pretty when they are fully grown and all, but we feel the real reason to grow Chickpeas, considering they have no true function in recipes, is to watch them grow. You see, we are head over heels for the Chickpeas while they are growing, as the Crop turns a majestic shade of purple that is unlike anything in the game. This is the only Crop on our list that made it due to how they look before they are ripe for the picking, as seen above.

9. Red Tulips

If you can’t have Red Roses, you might as well settle for Red Tulips, eh? While the Red Tulips lack the elegance and beauty of a rose’s bud, they do have an enrapturing crimson shell around each flower that looks marvelous against the green foliage underneath it all. We’re certain that Red Roses would overtake the Red Tulips on this list, simply due to their legacy as the ultimate romantic flower that makes the ladies swoon, but the Red Tulips will continue to hold their own in the meantime.

8. Posole Corn

The regular Corn Crop is one of our favorites when it comes to traditional veggies, though let’s be honest in saying that it pales in comparison to its blue brethren. The blue corn Crop, known as Posole Corn, has the patented shape and robust ripen look of the Corn Crop that we love so much with a few enhancements: it can be harvested in only 12 hours compared to 3 days, and it is a wonderful, deep shade of blue when it is ready to be chopped down. It is also the highest vegetable on our list!

7. Grapes

Call us crazy, but it seems hard to top the look of a farm loaded down with gorgeous Grapes – though that could just be our stomach talking. The Grapes are the only Crop on this list to feature a structure for the vines to grow along, such as the Tomatoes or Peas. We love the Grapes over the others simply because they offer a glorious shade of purple, and they truly look phenomenal once you have used fertilizer on them. If you have a Winery as a Crafting Building, this is yet another lovely Crop to use as a decoration, as it blends well with the ivy-coated Winery. They are completely unique and we hope to see a wider array of Grape types in the future in FarmVille.

6. Lilac Daffy

One of the things that we love the most about the new Greenhouse expansion is the ability to create brand new, gorgeous Crops, like the Lilac Daffy, a brand new hybrid flower that is concocted by mixing Lilacs and Daffodils, two flowers that did not make the list, largely in part to the fact that they are both better when they are together. You see, the Lilacs’ color shades remain the same for the Lilac Daffy Crop, yet we gain a big, gorgeous bulb right in the center of the flower that hangs elegantly. This one has all the traits that make its parent Crops so memorable.

5. Sun Poppies

The highest Hybrid Crop on our list of the Prettiest Crops comes from two of our favorite flowers, the Sunflower and the Golden Poppies. We are big fans of Poppies in FarmVille; they are our favorite flower type, and Zynga’s artistic team has used some bright and bold colors on both the Golden and Purple Poppies. One of the reasons the Sun Poppies stand out so much is the fact that they deliver the vulnerable look of the Poppies, while also utilizing the Sunflower’s distinctive, eye-catching aesthetics. They are a Hybrid Crop that takes from its two parent Crops and creates something entirely its own in design.

4. White Poinsettias

While not the highest Limited Edition Crop on our “prestigious” list, the White Poinsettias are the highest Limited Edition Flower on this Top 10. Arriving right in time for the Winter Holiday theme, White Poinsettias, and Poinsettias in general, are closely linked with the Christmas season, having historical significance of the holiday, so it is strange to think of seeing such a gorgeous, off-white, champagne-colored flower blossoming in the dead of winter. Maybe this is one of the reasons we love the Crop so much: we get to see all of its beauty without dealing with the ice and snow on the ground.

3. Forget-Me-Nots

One of the highest level Crops in the game – second highest, to be completely precise – is one that is well worth the wait to plant. Forget-Me-Nots are amongst the greatest Crops in the game, technically coming out on top in a lot of categories, but the thing we love the most about them above all of the other reasons is strictly the way that they look. Simply put, there has never been a Crop that is remotely similar to the Forget-Me-Nots throughout the history of FarmVille when it comes to color, as these bright, light blue flowers truly make your entire farm pop. If you don’t believe us, plant some Wheat next to these gorgeous flowers and get prepared to see the difference. We recommend planting Electric Lilies between them in a checkerboard pattern to pull off a gorgeous, unique look.

2. Purple Poppies

There are many wonderful flowers throughout FarmVille, make no mistake about it. Picking our absolute favorite amongst the long list of flowers is never an easy task, given how many there are and the fact that just about all of their designs are top notch. Our top pick is the Purple Poppies, a tough decision seeing as how all three of the Poppies in this game are some of the prettiest overall Crops in the virtual farming universe. Our reason is simple: very rarely do you come across a flower so packed with bright colors. The Purple Poppies are bright in a pinkish purple, unlike any other Crop in the game; they are incredibly unique and worthy of gawking at.

1. Balloons

In our opinion, there is no more beautiful Crop in all of FarmVille than the Limited Edition Balloons from the New Year’s theme that was oh-so brief during the final week of 2010. We have long been clamoring to plant them once more, but sadly they were here and gone in the blink of an eye. Lucky for us, we got several pictures to remind us of just how unique this weird Crop truly was. It had many different colors that blended together is a shimmering radiance unlike anything we have been before or after it arrived. After all, it’s hard to compete with a boatload of glittery balloons, right?
