The ever-present French Quarter graces the Buildings tab under the Mardi Gras theme this week, but let’s take a gander at the small spattering of new Mardi Gras Decorations, shall we?
This is the Carnival Float, a new Decoration that bears the likeness of the standard FarmVille boy farmer and the FarmVille girl farmer that we see so frequently throughout pop-ups, loading screens, and other general FarmVille information. This one features no animation, yet it cannot be rotated, which is usually the lone prerequisite for rotation in the game. Regardless, this one looks slightly eerie, like an oversized piñata looming around your farm. It costs 12 FV Cash, which isn’t so bad, but we can’t say we’re fans of the Decoration itself. It will give you 1,200 EXP for the purchase.
The other premium Decoration for the Mardi Gras theme is slightly more expensive than the Carnival Float, but is the better of the two Decorations, in our opinion. This is your standard fountain with a slight twist, in that it can shoot confetti all across the immediate area that it is placed in. The Mask Fountain costs 15 FV Cash, good for 1,500 EXP, and prominently displays several decorative Mardi Gras masks around the shooting stream of water.
Lastly, the minor Mardi Gras celebration concludes with a couple of affordable Coin items in the Carnival Mask I and the Carnival Mask II, from left to right. These are incredibly standard Decorations and feel rather old in design due to the fact that they are completely stationary with zero animations attached, yet they cannot be rotated – something that was done away with near the start of the New Year. Each of these masks costs 2,200 Costs each, so you might as well grab them.
