Q&A: English Countryside

Author Major Category ,

Howdy farmers! We here at FarmVille Post are still waiting on the English Countryside, so we have whipped together a Questions & Answers session that you can read below! Hey, we needed something to hold us over while we wait for the FVEC to hit our farms! If you need some tips on how to utilize your new farm and how to avoid some pitfalls, like keeping your Mastery Signs separated accidentally, please keep reading! Remember: an informed farmer is a happy farmer!

Question: My friends have the English Countryside and I don’t! What gives!?

Answer: The FarmVille English Countryside is in what Zynga calls a slow rollout, meaning that the expansion will be coming to every FarmVille player in the world incredibly soon. Some players have it a few hours earlier than others, and we dub those folks “the lucky ones.” Fear not, as we are still waiting for the English Countryside ourselves.

Question: What’s the deal with this “paused farm” situation?

Answer: It is true. When you travel to the English Countryside, your current farm will be on “pause,” meaning that your Crop growth and the like will stay exactly the same until you come back from England, and vice versa. Let’s say we plant Eggplant on our old farm and we leave at 28% ready for our Crops. We spend the week at the English Countryside and head back to our old farm, where our Eggplants are still 28% ready. They will resume their growth upon your return.

Note that we completely understand why you are upset; frankly, we are not fans of the concept, either. That said, we are not Zynga, so please don’t take it out on us here at FarmVille Post. Feel free to offer your opinions in a constructive manner, as polite suggestions trump rude ranting every time when you want to make a change in the world. :-)

Question: Can I transfer my storage items from my old farm to my new farm?

Answer: No. Each storage facility is exclusive to its own farm, unfortunately. The same goes for placing your Market items. For instance, let’s say you buy the latest Market Horse on your English Farm. You will be unable to transfer it to your old farm once it is placed on your new farm, and vice versa.

Question: What about my gift box items?

Answer: The Gift Box is a gray area, and one that you should use to your advantage. For example: we plan on placing our English Countryside Mastery Signs on our old farm with the rest of them. How can we do this, you ask? Because once you Master a Crop or Tree, you receive the Mastery Sign in your Gift Box, thus allowing you to decide which farm to place it on. Same goes for Foals and Calves that you claim from your neighbors on their Facebook feeds. Be careful in deciding which farm to place them on!

Question: How many Sheep can I breed?

Answer: As many as your heart desires! You will need Bottles and Love Potions to speed up the process, as well as available mating rooms within the Sheep Pen, which can be expanded. That said, so long as you have the materials, you can make trillions.

Question: Are more Crops on the way to the English Countryside, or is what you see what you get?

Answer: We certainly hope so! These new Crops are some of our very favorites in the FarmVille universe, especially the Hops and Red Currants. We’d love to see additional Crops very soon!

Question: Can I plant these English Countryside Crops on my old farm?

Answer: Nope, all Crops will remain exclusive to their territories, so do not expect to head over to England to plant some Strawberries or to grow any Barley over on your old farm, either. Despite the promise of faster Mastery on the new farm, there are merely extra harvest bonuses attached to the English Countryside Crops that can boost your Mastery of those specific Crops.

Stay tuned, as we will have in-depth English Countryside information all night long! That’s right, we’re pulling an all-nighter here at the Post!
