New Items: English Pavilion and English Tree House

Author Major Category , , ,

The Buildings tab is also getting a little bit of fun in tonight’s update, including a real winner available for Coins! Hooray for new, quality Coin items!

We love the Sheep here at FarmVille Post. The Sheep Breeding feature is the best thing to happen to the game since Crafting Buildings, so we appreciate the significance it has placed on being right-neighborly with your friends and being wanted as a neighbor in general, hence why we are pleased to see a Coin Building surrounding the Sheep: the English Pavilion. The English Pavilion has a Sheep placed stoically in the center of the moss-coated stone structure, which reflects some awesome shadows along the southwestern portion of the rotatable building. It can be had 200,000 Coins, and gives you 2,000 EXP for the purchase.

If you are wealthy in virtual dollars, you might wish to consider this Sunday’s FV Cash addition to the Buildings tab on the Market: the English Tree House. This thing is a mammoth of a Building, the largest we can remember in several months. We guess they figured we could use a gargantuan structure to take up some space on our new piece of land, and this one is definitely worthy of your plot space.

The English Tree House is not necessarily English, though, is it? Nothing about it screams “English Countryside” to us, really. It features some really cool architectural design, bolstering several separate circular rooms with what looks to be real house shingles and exterior design that resembles that of Holland. All of this is suspended over a bridge that is, oddly enough, not over a small body of water. This is a hefty purchase at 35 FV Cash, giving the buyer 3,500 EXP, and it can be rotated. There are certainly worse ways to blow your FV Cash, as this one is a really cool, eye-catching Building.

New Items: Tea House and English Restaurant

The Buildings are certainly not left out in the cold for tonight’s update, as we have a couple of brand new structures for the English Countryside theme that can be placed on either farm!

First up this week is the more expensive option on the Market, the Tea Shop. This is, from a pure design standpoint, a truly inspiring addition to the English Countryside Buildings. It contains many of the common color schemes found across the English Countryside at the moment, but switches the way the design and trim of the Buildings pans out. You can see what we are talking about by checking out the side of the Building, where crescent shapes adorn the structure. This one can be rotated but it looks much better from the default angle, as the shadows cast a little too heavily from the southwest on this one.  We prefer the other homes on the Market, but this one’s pretty good. 25 FV Cash is the cost of admission here, with 2,500 EXP given to the purchaser.

The cheaper of the two options this week, the English Restaurant, is incredibly similar and in-line with one of the previously available Buildings in the English Countryside theme, the Antique Shoppe. If you own and love that Building, then you will certainly need this one to complete the pairing, as they look simply marvelous when placed together. Of course, our review of that Building was not glowing, and our feelings remain the same for this go-‘round. We may very well just chalk it up to culture shock, however. It costs 15 FV Cash and can be rotated to better suit your farm. Should you choose to invest in this Building, you will earn 1,500 EXP.

Which is your favorite of these two Buildings?

New Items: Garden Gazebo, Oast House, and More

Author Major Category , , ,

The big surprise of the evening has to be the overabundance of brand new Buildings in FarmVille, with three new ones making their Market debut in tonight’s English Countryside Market update. We haven’t had this many new Buildings in a long time, so let’s jump right into them.

Let us begin with a Coin item, shall we? We love the Gazebos in FarmVille; there is something about how colorful they are with their foliage adapting to the architecture of the Garden Gazebo itself that is enticing to us… well, that and the fact that gazebos are pretty awesome in real life, too. So by offering a spiffy repaint of a farmer Gazebo at the cost of Coins is a no-brainer to us, sign us up. This Gazebo can actually be rotated, as well, and gives you 1,500 EXP for the 150,000 Coin purchase. It looks great on the English Countryside farm, so we highly recommend it.

In the world of FV Cash purchases, this new Oast House is the top billing of the week, checking out at a whopping 30 FV Cash – a steep number by recent FarmVille standards of pricing for Buildings. So, why does it cost so much? Is it actually better than other Buildings? Well, yeah, just look at it. Regardless of if you like it or dislike it, one thing you certainly cannot say is that it’s boring, bland, or looks similar to anything else on FarmVille’s Market. This is for the true blue brewers of the world, as the Oast House is used to dry out the hops when crafting beer. We knew drinking beer had its upsides: beer knowledge. We love this, personally, as you likely know about our love of ivy-covered structures by now. You will even receive 3,000 EXP for the purchase of the rotatable Building.

null

Finally, something a little more traditional and less crazy: the Tudor Cottage, a small, old-fashioned straw cottage that is comprised of ivy-clung walls and brand new window frames, which we have to admit look a little out of place on the structure itself. A slightly crooked picket fence graces the Building to give it a suburban feel. This one is nice, and can be rotated, but seems slightly overpriced at 20 FV Cash; other similar structures have sold recently for a few bucks less. If you decide to take the plunge, expect to receive 2,000 EXP in return.

Which is your favorite of these three? We gotta go with the Oast House. It is too unique to pass up.

New Item: Fairy Shoe House

Author Major Category ,

The fun doesn’t stop with the new Animals this Wednesday evening, as we have a brand new Building to indulge in under the Building and Decoration tabs, and it is fairly cheap, to boot – pun-intended.

What can you do when you live in a shoe? It is a question philosophers have long asked, or at least we wish they would – the world would be a funnier place if philosophical folks pondered really dumb questions. This is the Fairy Shoe House, a homestead that is made entirely out of a gigantic boot, which looks to even have a heel – meaning whatever giant used to wear this was probably a foxy momma. Regardless, now it is a home in the land of make-believe, it seems… Now that’s what we call recycling. Let’s hope the stench isn’t too bad, eh?

This one is available for 12 FV Cash, one of the lowest amounts that we can recall in recent memory for a Building. We’re guessing that Zynga is figuring out that customers are less likely to throw out the FV Cash for non-functional Buildings. If you buy this one, you will receive 1,200 EXP and the Building can be rotated to better suit your farm, depending if you like your Buildings to face east or west.

The overall design on the Fairy Shoe House is stellar, with gorgeous flowers of the likes of which we have never seen in FarmVille; we particularly love those red flowers within the barrels. Our fingers are crossed that these new flowers will wind up as a Crop in the game sometime soon! The gold exterior of the boot clashes with the purple rooftop and toe in the best way possibly, as it really looks sleek. It is a bold design, but it pays off due to the price and the fact that it does not eat up a lot of space.

We will deliver some new Decorations next at FarmVille Post!
