New Items: Royal Horse and Royal Guard Duck

Author Major Category , , ,

Tonight’s Market update brings several goodies along for the ride with the Enchanted Love theme, which is a thinly veiled theme surrounding the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

null

We are receiving some Horse royalty in tonight’s update, or so it seems. This is our favorite Horse in a long time, which says a lot since there have been some mighty fine Horses since the English Countryside arrived. This black and white marbled Horse is dubbed the Royal Horse, and features a royally embroidered saddle made of gold and red colors – it even produces its own Foal, which wears the saddle, too. We really love this one and give it our highest recommendation, even for 26 FV Cash. Our favorite part may very well be the furry legs on this one; it’s really cute.

Elsewhere on the Market pond is the one to protect the Queen and all of her glory: the Royal Guard Duck. This fella will make sure that nobody will interfere with nonsense, as you can tell by his stone cold face of intimidation… Okay, so probably not the best game face known to man, but hey, it’s certainly distracting with its cuteness, right? If somebody’s thinking of tackling the Queen, they might have second thoughts after seeing a Duck with one of those tall hats on, y’know? This one is a cute addition to the Duck Pond, but we are on the fence about paying 16 FV Cash for a plain Duck in clothing.

What about you, farmer? What’s your opinion on these items?

New Items: King Horse, Robin Duck, and More

Author Major Category , ,

The biggest update of this week’s Market overhaul is, believe it or not, under the Animals tab.

null

Holy Horse overload, Batman. Yet another Horse has hit the Market with the update streamlining its way to gamers everywhere, as this sought-after beauty known only as the King Horse. Could this be to Britain’s Prince tying the knot? Eh, probably not, but it certainly is royalty, what with its gorgeous black coat on the Clydesdale-Forest hybrid body type. It adorns a saddle fastened with royal colors, making it a regal cloak of red and gold. It will produce its own Foal, making it a must-own for Horse Breeders at 26 FV Cash.

null

Elsewhere on the English Countryside theme lies a brand new Duck with regal flair of its own. This is the Duck that robs from the likes of the King Horse and gives to the, uh… pigpen, we guess? This is Robin Duck, based on the legend of Robin Hood, a man who fed the poor by stealing from the wealthy. Now that’s what we call spreading the wealth! Robin Duck is pretty iconic, so we can’t go against recommending him for 16 FV Cash, you know? Some things are worth the moolah.

null

To wrap up the Animals tab’s update on the Sunday evening, we have a pair of brand new Ewes that you can… ahem, ewes (get it? Use?) in your Sheep Pen for Sheep Breeding: the Pastel Purple Ewe and the Pastel Green Ewe, seen in reverse order in the picture above. We have been able to create a Ewe similar to the purple, but the green keeps stumping us. We leave the decision on these Sheep in your hands as a result of Sheep Breeding experimentation. Each one costs 20 FV Cash.

What is your favorite Animal of the night?

New Items: White Thoroughbred Horse and Modern Game Hen

Author Major Category , , , ,

Of course, if we have learned a single thing from this ongoing awesome English Countryside theme, it is to expect a bevy of cool new Animals in the Market twice a week. That trend continues tonight with the arrival of these fellows.

null

Here is the White Thoroughbred Horse, a technical repaint of the Thoroughbred Horse that debuted several weeks prior to this one’s arrival on the Market. As tired as we are of seeing similarly-colored Horses, we have not had a solid white Horse in quite some time, and this one is pretty cool. It features a slick, shiny white coat, as you can see the light beating off of its chest. It has a squirmy nose and shakes its tail from time to time, for those of you who keep your Horses outside of your Horse Stable. This one is 26 FV Cash, and we recommend it only to Horse Breeders, who will be happy to see it produces a new Foal.

null

This little fella debuted via the Chicken Coop just earlier, popping up as a new entry within the Building. This is the Modern Game Hen, a totally awesome new Chicken with a uniquely designed model. Unlike several other Chickens, this one has very tiny, very long legs, and a less-than-robust stomach with a protruding breast bone. Pardon the pun, but this dude is the cock of the walk.  Sadly, it costs 20 FV Cash, which is entirely too expensive for any Chicken in our book. We’d be tough to go higher than 16 FV Cash for any Chicken. Placing this guy in your Chicken Coop will produce Level 20 English Mystery Eggs.

Keep it dialed in to FVP for more reviews throughout the night!

New Items: Suffolk Horse, New Colored Sheep, and More

Author Major Category , , , ,

One hefty Animal update is what we have for you in tonight’s Market update, complete with a couple of brand new base-color Sheep! Let’s get the ball rolling with our complete reviews!

null

This is the new Horse addition of the Wednesday update, the Suffolk Horse. This one seems like a crossover from the traditional Clydesdale mammoths and a Pony, doesn’t it? It seriously resembles the Godzilla of Ponies to us. We feel there needs to be a small city under its hooves! This one is kind of cute, though something about the design seems slightly off and we can’t quite put our finger on it… It may simply be the fact that we cannot quite wrap our head around the idea of a mega-Pony.

This one runs on the high side of things at 26 FV Cash, and while we are certainly happy to see more new, original Horse models, there are better options on the Market at the moment, like the Shetland Pony and Morgan Horse.

null

Who smells bacon? Oh my! That’s one large pork chop! This is the Devon Pig, a brand new, hefty piggy for the FarmVille Pig lovers out there. It is a solid black Pig who looks around occasionally with its ears a-floppin’. These new big Pigs are adorable and seem incredibly pet-like, don’t they? It makes us question why we don’t have a housepig lying around our home. This one rings up for 16 FV Cash, which we’ve deemed a reasonable price for something as original and cute as these new “fat piggies” in FarmVille. When placed inside of the Pigpen, you will receive White Truffles when you send it hunting.

null

Finally and certainly interesting to the majority of our English Countryside players out there are two brand new additions to the FarmVille Sheep! We already have purple Sheep from our Sheep Breeding efforts, so we welcome the Orange Sheep with open arms! After all, now we can finally make our Halloween Sheep! The Yellow Sheep will certainly offer a little more variety, as well. Each of these Sheep costs 20 FV Cash, and we look forward to mixing and matching these two new additions with our current stall of Black Sheep that we’ve been making!

What is your favorite addition to the Animal tab?

New Items: Shetland Pony, Devon Horse, and More

Author Major Category , , ,

Holy goodies, Batman! There is a ton of wonderful new items on the FarmVille Market, ranging from new Buildings, new Trees, new Animals, new Decorations, and even a brand new Mystery Game, all in honor of the English Countryside! Let’s dive into the Animals.

null

What a refreshing sight, seeing some new premium Horses and Cows that are not paired up within the Mystery Game, which will cost users hundreds of FV Cash attempting to obtain. These two beauties are both pretty good, including this Shetland Pony. This is one of the best new Horses that has arrived as of late, and several winners have been in the fray over the past month, so it’s not as if we have been on the short end of the stick the way that we were around the Holiday season.

This Shetland Pony is a brand new model design for the Horses, and even has a brand new Foal design – something we haven’t seen in a long, long time. This alone makes the Shetland Pony a wise purchase for 24 FV Cash, which is on the lower side of average for a new Horse. This one is a beauty, though, with its long blonde mane and gorgeous brown coat. There is no reason not to buy it if you are a Horse collector with some disposable income.

null

On the flipside, here is a brand new Cow that features one of the older models that is slightly modified to fit the bill. We love this modification, which is much better than your casual repaint or slight alteration that can barely be noticed. The Devon Cow features a bright tan tail, which sets it apart, but features a puffy brown head of hair that flows down into what looks like the effect of a beard. How adorable! The new Calf that it produces also has the whole “puffy hair and beard” effect, making it a favorite for Calf breeders. It costs 22 FV Cash, and we recommend it.

null

That is not all for the Animals tab this evening, though we suspect this little guy will be left out in the cold compared to the two must-have Animals that we just spoke of. This is the Bagot Goat, and it is, in our opinion, one of the best Goats to ever grace our virtual property. It is a shame that it released on a night filled with other goodies, as it could have easily been a nice seller. It features improved animation, as it occasionally smacks its lips since we know goats love to chew on anything they can find. It costs 14 FV Cash, which is a little steep and one reason we suspect it will not sell as well as it could have.

Which Animals are you buying this week?

New Items: English Sheep, Shire Horse, and More

Author Major Category , , , ,

Yet another update has hit the English Countryside tonight, this time invading the Market! We are guessing the days for Market goods may have rotated to Tuesdays and Thursdays instead of the usual Sundays and Wednesdays, though we are not positive on that at this time.

null

We usually tackle new Horses first, but we decided to go with the brand new English Countryside-exclusive English Sheep at the top slot for today. Why? Well, beyond the Sheep Breeding feature — as we suspect this will provide a great new off-blue color, though the flag pattern itself will likely not be available as a portion of the breeding effort – it is a really cool-looking Sheep. It sports the Union Jack across its side, and is a fantastic shade of blue, not quite the navy of Doctor Who’s TARDIS, but still quite dandy. It can be obtained for 22 FV Cash, and we recommend it – but that may just be our infatuation with Sheep Breeding talking.

null

Speaking of wise purchases, here is the brand new Shire Horse. When we say “brand new,” we mean it, as this is an entirely original model for Horses that is being displayed for the Shire Horse, which resembles an incredibly thick Clydesdale. Notice how cannon-shaped the body of this new brand of Horse is? We love seeing original Horses in FarmVille, so we’re happy to pay the 26 FV Cash to own this new gal, which creates a new Foal in its likeness, to boot.

We love the way the three colors all mesh together so perfectly. Seeing original designs like this reminds us why we love playing FarmVille, so hats off to the art team responsible for crafting these beauties. It can be obtained for either of your two farms, unlike the next addition to FarmVille…

null

The Brown Dutch Rabbit is an English Countryside-exclusive Animal, much like the English Sheep, but much less characteristic. The Dutch Brown Rabbit is a repaint of the original FarmVille Rabbit, making it a staple to the series but hardly justifying the 12 FV Cash price tag or the English Countryside exclusivity.  It’s not so much that this is a bad paint job or that it is ridiculously priced, neither of which we believe is true, but we are curious as to why this particular Rabbit is land locked when it’s hardly that original? It’s a head-scratcher, for certain.

Keep it tuned to FarmVille Post, as Trees are next in our line of vision.

New Items: Irish Cob Horse and Irish Hare

Author Major Category , ,

All of the fun is not only to be had on the Tree side of things this week, as a couple of cool new Animals have been unleashed to roam your farmland, thanks to the St. Patrick’s Day theme.

null

The top dog of the update’s Animals tab will likely be the latest Horse to stuff in your Horse Stable, the Irish Cob Horse. This one sports your usual Gypsy build, boasting a really cool and unique coat and mane to go along with the model of the Horse. This one sports tiny black dots across its white body, sort of looking like freckles all across its hide. Trimmings of black grace the big fella, mixing in with the white colors around its legs and its head. This is one of the nicer designs painted on a common model of Horse. It is available for 26 FV Cash, and we do recommend it for Horse collectors. It will produce its own Foal, as well.

null

Call us crazy, but the inconsistencies that the Rabbits and Bunnies face throughout FarmVille should have our OCD monitor chirping like crazy, but for whatever reason, we love the unique designs that these types of Animals usually receive, and truly wish more Cows and Horses looked as unique as some of these Rabbits. For instance, take this new St. Patty’s bunny, the Irish Hare, as an example. Unlike many of its belly-rubbing-the-floor counterparts, this Irish Hare is sitting upright, with its ears twitching as it breathes frantically in and out. It’s available for 12 FV Cash, and is honestly our favorite Animal of the week. Pick it up if you like small critters inhabiting your farm.

Stay tuned to more tonight from FarmVille Post!

New Items: Carnival Horse and Carnival Pig

Author Major Category , ,

Mardi Gras is in full effect in FarmVille as the feel-good holiday is taking over our social lives. We’ve got what is surely going to be the winner of this weekend’s Market update for many right here…

null

This is the Carnival Horse, a dressed-up version of the Morgan Horse, decked out completely in Mardi Gras décor. It features a party favor that it inflates and deflates, as well as a headdress and mask to go along with its checkerboard-patterned saddle. It even features a tassel near its tail comprised of the green, yellow and purple colors associated with Mardi Gras. This one costs 26 FV Cash, which is on the high side of things. We suspect it will be a huge seller, and we like it because the Morgan Horse is a pretty sleek Horse in itself. Still, we’d love to see some new Horse models. It does produce a new Foal, for what it’s worth.

null

The Carnival Horse is not the only option on the Market this week, as lovers of another functional Animal in FarmVille can rejoice: the Carnival Pig is partying it up on the Animals tab for 18 FV Cash, which is our opinion is too steep of an asking price, given the fact that the Carnival Pig only produces White Truffles when placed inside of the Pigpen – an entirely too common Truffle. If you are a die-hard Pig lover, we do recommend that you pick this up, but for everyone else, the fact that it is only a few FV Cash cheaper than the new Horse says a lot.

Keep it dialed in to FVP as we examine the new Mystery Game and Decorations!

New Items: Black Beauty Horse and Invisible Cat

Author Major Category , , , ,

Howdy gang! Apologies for the late update tonight, as we know you are used to our on-the-second updates, but we were caught in a bit of a tornado festival – yes, it was as scary as it sounds. But we’re all safe and sound with our power returned and no worse for wear! We will get through this a little speedier than usual, given the circumstances, but be sure to stay tuned to FarmVille Post throughout the week for non-tornado-interrupted coverage of all-things FarmVille!

null

On the Animal Market tonight, we have a brand new Horse that was teased before the weekend commenced, and it now has a proper name to go along with its gorgeous appearance: the Black Beauty Horse. What a fitting name, as this is one tremendous Horse, featuring a lean, sturdy figure that somewhat resembles that of a Stallion. This new Horse is 26 FV Cash, which is a little on the steep side, but we are happy with our purchase. It shares the same mane of the Forest Horse, which we are a little tired of seeing, but this one is different enough. It also has its own Foal, too.

The other item of the night is a previously released one that was part of one of, if not the first, movie promotional tie-ins with Alice in Wonderland. The feline is dubbed the Invisible Cat, but it’s rather obvious that it is the Cheshire Cat, the dastardly fiendish feline in the harrowing fantasy adventure. This “double dip” to the Animal Market costs 22 FV Cash.

Stay tuned, as we will quickly run down the remainder of tonight’s items – before the electricity goes back out. Eep!
