New Items: Romantic Cottage, Wedding Fountain, and More

Author Major Category , , , ,

There are a lot of returning items in FarmVille with the arrival of the Enchanted Love theme, as well as some new ones. Let’s take a look at both the Building and Decorations tabs in one post for a change, due to the smaller amount of new stuff.

The only new item in Wednesday’s Market update under the Buildings tab is the Romantic Cottage, a cutesy, homey addition to the Market. This is a very soft Building on the eyes, with easy browns and tans to look at, which blend nicely with the pink flowers that grace the topiary surrounding the Building. We particularly enjoy the threshold that sits at the doorstep, covered in beautiful roses. This is a plain Jane type of Building, and the price is too steep at 20 FV Cash, but it’s very cute. 2,000 EXP will be awarded to those who purchase this rotatable structure.

A pairing of returning Gnomes is also on the Market, but they are of the old sort. On the new side of Decorations, we have a new Coin item that is quite bulky: the Wedding Bouquet. This is a very large rendition of what we typically think of when we hear “wedding bouquet,” right? It is due to the excess flowers, as well as the podium they rest atop. This is a cute addition to your farm if you’re recently wedded or to be wedded, as well as if you’re just nutso about flowers. It costs 100,000 Coins.

Back to the FV Cash items for the week, the Wedding Fountain is easily our favorite Decoration of the week’s update, clocking in at 7 FV Cash so it can technically, by FV Cash standards anyway, be affordable. It is a white fountain that is held up with purple-lined pillars and adorned with a pair of lovebirds at the top. White roses line the bottom of the structure, as the animated water flows down the multi-tiered decoration. If you buy this one, it will give you 1,200 EXP.

If the Wedding Bouquet is too large for your farm, you can try the lesser-expensive option, which is the Wedding Flower Pot. It is a gold flower pot containing beautiful red and white flowers springing out of greenery, sitting upon a pristine pedestal. It costs 20,000 Coins. If you’re looking for something new to fence in your items, the Wedding Fence provides a solid white surface with big pink ribbons draped along it. Each piece of fencing costs 5,000 Coins.

What is your favorite item this week?

New Items: Rainbow Fountain, Leprechaun Girl, and More

Author Major Category , , ,

The fun’s still not stopping with just Animals and Trees, as a few really cool items are currently lurking on the Decorations page that will spruce up any farm for the upcoming holiday. Let’s take a peek at what there is to gobble up this week, shall we?

null

Our favorite Decoration of the update this week is the Rainbow Fountain, an absolutely marvelous fountain that is comprised of several tiers of clouds that house multiple trays of water, which form into rainbows that flow from the highest level all the way down to the lowest levels of the clouds. They feature a smooth animation that moves fluidly and looks terrific, but because of this animation, the Decoration cannot be rotated. Honestly, it doesn’t need to be: it looks perfect the way it is on any farm, and complements the Rainbow Trees very well. It costs 18 FV Cash and gives 1,800 EXP. Definitely grab this one.

For all of your Gnome lovers out there, you will be pleased to see that Zynga is continuing their support of the Gnome brand in this St. Patrick’s Day theme with a brand new Gnomette, the Leprechaun Girl. Despite the goofy name, the Leprechaun Girl features the same female Gnome model that we have all grown accustomed to, with sporting a red hairdo and a Leprechaun get-up. She will cost you 15 FV Cash and gives back 1,500 EXP for the purchase, but we only recommend this for the hardcore Gnome collectors.

null

Here is a returning Decoration from years past, as the Mossy Stone has made its second trip to the FarmVille Marketplace. We have used this one on our personal farm for around a year, as it has become an integral part of our man-made Koi Pond theme around our Buildings. It is a little big and bulky, and best used when set beside something to match it, like a body of water or some castles with ivy around them. Ivy and moss go hand-in-hand! It costs 50,000 Coins and is well worth the money. You will grab 500 EXP.

null

Lastly, the final item available solely on the Decorations tab is a new Coin item that can be used much like a planter to spruce up your farm on the cheap side of things, the Clover Flower Bed is available for only 10,000 Coins, making it an incredible bargain for touching up your farm in areas where it could use a little something extra. It won’t blow your visitors away, but it certainly could help create something noteworthy where barren land once was.

We’re not stopping until we’ve covered everything in this Sunday evening’s update! Stay tuned!

New Items: Carnival Float, Mask Fountain, and More

Author Major Category , , ,

The ever-present French Quarter graces the Buildings tab under the Mardi Gras theme this week, but let’s take a gander at the small spattering of new Mardi Gras Decorations, shall we?

null

This is the Carnival Float, a new Decoration that bears the likeness of the standard FarmVille boy farmer and the FarmVille girl farmer that we see so frequently throughout pop-ups, loading screens, and other general FarmVille information. This one features no animation, yet it cannot be rotated, which is usually the lone prerequisite for rotation in the game. Regardless, this one looks slightly eerie, like an oversized piƱata looming around your farm. It costs 12 FV Cash, which isn’t so bad, but we can’t say we’re fans of the Decoration itself. It will give you 1,200 EXP for the purchase.

null

The other premium Decoration for the Mardi Gras theme is slightly more expensive than the Carnival Float, but is the better of the two Decorations, in our opinion. This is your standard fountain with a slight twist, in that it can shoot confetti all across the immediate area that it is placed in. The Mask Fountain costs 15 FV Cash, good for 1,500 EXP, and prominently displays several decorative Mardi Gras masks around the shooting stream of water.

null

Lastly, the minor Mardi Gras celebration concludes with a couple of affordable Coin items in the Carnival Mask I and the Carnival Mask II, from left to right. These are incredibly standard Decorations and feel rather old in design due to the fact that they are completely stationary with zero animations attached, yet they cannot be rotated – something that was done away with near the start of the New Year. Each of these masks costs 2,200 Costs each, so you might as well grab them.

Stay tuned for the updated Mystery Game recap!
