Now here is something our readers have been waiting for: our full walkthrough of the Frito-Lay promotional farm!
Step 1: Click on the Frito-Lay neighbor icon across your neighbor bar. You will find it to the far right as your highest leveled neighbor. Clicking here will automatically transfer you to the Frito-Lay farm.
Step 2: We do love Sunchips. And Baked Lay’s original flavor. Hey Frito-Lay, wanna do a sponsorship with ol’ Farmer Zoop’s tummy? You could give us free bags of chips and uh… we could eat them. Anyway, click on the “Help Out” icon to be help the company out with their farm. Afterwards, you will be told to visit their fan page in order to see what prize you have just received.
Step 3: By visiting the fan page (it can take a while to load due to high traffic volumes due to everyone else from FarmVille visiting), you will be told that you have just won a free Market Stall that will increase Mastery for 24 hours, as well as a free Frito-Lay Truck. You can see the Market Stall above, and the Frito-Lay Truck below.
A lot of folks get upset about product placement in movies and gaming, but we actually kind of like it in FarmVille. Our only suggestion is that we wish it were more elaborate than a simple Truck and a boost in progressing through the game. Why not have a Sunchips Crop, or some Tostito Trees? At its core, FarmVille is about farming, so we’d love to see some McDonald’s French Fries growing out of the ground, or Hershey’s Kisses Trees. Just a suggestion in case the folks at Zynga are listening.
