How to create beautiful farm designs?
You need to be at least a little creative to design your farmville farm in a cool way! My farm is boring, I admit, but that’s mostly laziness. So how can we make our farm look stunning when our neighboors visit us?
Follow one of the steps below and redisign your farm today.
1. There are tutorials on YouTube for making the “stacked” looking fences or hay bales. It’s very simple once you see how it’s done- you’ll be surprised you needed someone to show you! My only suggestion if you decide to do large scale decorating or designs is that you sketch it out (even very roughly) first. It’s frustrating to be moving things all over trying to make a half formed design work.
2. And look through the Pretty Farms type threads for inspiration… some of them are amazing.
3. The basics of creating levels or pixel art are, to me at least, quite clear. But getting that creative vibe some people have and turning a farm into something amazing, that’s something I have not been able to do yet. I did overhaul my entire farm this weekend and I must say my first attempt at creating levels worked out quite nicely. But even though I worked on it for many hours and even though I have gotten many compliments from my neighbors, I still don’t think it can even stand in the shadow of some of the farms I’ve seen. So I think it’s a combination of understanding the mechanics AND having tons of creative insight. Sadly, I seem to lack the latter
4. Use photoshop or paint to zoom into the pictures of the winning decorative designs as well as other pictures of farms. You can see the detail and as long as you think 2 dimensionally, you can probably figure out how various designs were made.
5. The hay bale designs always remind me of cross-stitch needlework. If you aren’t incredibly creative, and prefer a pattern to follow, choose a cross-stitch pattern you like and go for it!!
6. If you see something you like picture wise you could transfer it to graph paper and then use hay bales to complete the picture onto your farm.
